Architect fetches $1.3M in North Side/South Side

Medium 5172aa637810b8b5e6dc0f9a7ad65b82 Colin Cathcart sold a three-bedroom, seven-bath home at 338 Metropolitan Ave. in North Side/South Side to Serena Jean Southam for $1.3 million on June 5.

Cathcart paid $900,000 for the property in May 2008. The 2,016-square-foot home was built in 1910.

Cathcart is the co-founder of Kiss + Cathcart Architects in Brooklyn. He is also an associate professor at Fordham University, where he has served on the executive committee of the urban studies program and as associate director of the environmental studies program.

He has a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Architecture from Columbia University.

Southam is a composer, guitar player and country music singer.

She attended New York University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 50 home sales in North Side/South Side during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $625,000.
