J.R. Tomkinson and his wife, Jeannine, sold their two-bedroom, two bath condo at 1025 W. George St. in Lake View for $426,500 to Andrew and Lisa Snyder on May 21.

Unit #2 is one of three in the building.

Mr. Tomkinson is a project manager for the Chicago Public Schools system. He also serves as an instructor in the Chicago office of Manhattan GMAT, a tutoring and instructional company for those taking the graduate management admission test (GMAT).

His background also includes stints with Score! Educational Centers in San Diego and San Francisco, in the culinary division with KitchenAid and as an investment banker with State Street Bank in Boston.

He earned his M.B.A. from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and his bachelor's in English from Dartmouth College.
