UNLV professor gives up Henderson 5BD for $385K

Dr. Jeffrey A. Jablonski and his wife, Stefanie, sold a five-bedroom, three bath home at 980 Upper Meadows Place in Henderson to Darlene Rebecca Lara for $385,000 on June 20.

Dr. Jablonski bought the property for $310,000 in Nov. 2003. The 2,724 square foot house, which was built in 2001, is in the MacDonald Ranch subdivision.

Dr. Jablonski is an associate professor of English and assistant director of general education at UNLV.

He is a published author of articles and books and has spoken in several occasions at national presentations. He has also acted as consultant for organizations like the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Bechtel Nevada, and Stoller-Navarro.

He received his Ph.D. in English from Purdue University.

Home sales in Henderson dropped 21 percent in 2008 versus sales in 2007. The median sales price also fell from $328,000 to $279,000.
