Illinois insurance company president buys Henderson 6BD

Albert R. Klunick and his wife, Sandra, bought a six-bedroom, 3.5 bath at 1308 European Drive in Henderson from The Bank of New York for $527,900 on June 27.

The Bank of New York foreclosed on the property in January. Michael C. Minter paid $849,000 for it in 2007.

The 3,919 square foot house, which was built in 1998, is in the Seven Hills subdivision.

Mr. Klunick has served as president of the Midwest Insurance Company headquartered in Springfield, Ill.

Since 1991, he has specialized in workers' compensation and wrote Taking the Mystery Out of the Mod, a workers' compensation insurance training workbook that was also published in the Journal of Workers' Compensation.

He earned degree in political science from the University of Illinois at Springfield.

Home sales in Henderson dropped 21 percent in 2008 versus sales in 2007. The median sales price fell from $328,000 to $279,000.
