Brendan R. Handler and his wife, Ellie, sold a three-bedroom, two-bath home at 1145 First St. in Hermosa Beach to Susan Woo for $880,000 on July 16.

The Handlers bought the 1,343-square-foot house for $695,000 in Sept. 2003. It was built in 1962.

Mr. Handler has been the executive director of business development and strategic planning at Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, where he was previously the director of change management.

Prior to joining Sony, he was the business development manager of Pacific Life, an insurance company. He also worked as the general manager of Eagle Global Logistics, which offers freight forwarding services.

He graduated from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
