San Diego news anchor asking $1.595M in Studio City

Medium b6c59f86b5c251f7604ca9053c8b2572 Arthel H. Neville and Takuya Hirano have listed for sale their three-bedroom, three-bath home at 3880 Alta Mesa Dr. in Studio City for $1.595 million.

Neville and Hirano paid $1.3 million for the property in Sept. 2004. The 2,894-square-foot house was built the same year.

Lisa Chase of Coldwell Banker is the listing agent for the home.

Neville is a broadcast journalist who currently serves as a morning news anchor on KSWB-Fox 5 in San Diego. She's held the job since Aug. 2008, after previously working with Fox News as a co-host of the network's "Good Day Live" morning broadcast, a contributor to "The O'Reilly Factor" and the West Coast bureau chief and correspondent for "Geraldo at Large."

Prior to joining Fox News she worked for CNN, where she hosted ""Talk Back Live With Arthel Neville," becoming the first African American female to host a daily show on CNN. She's also worked for the E! Network and with news stations in Houston and her native New Orleans.

She earned her bachelor's in journalism from the University of Texas–Austin. She is the daughter of Art Neville, a founder of the hit R&B groups The Meters and The Neville Brothers.

Hirano is a percussionist who has toured and performed with the likes of Lionel Richie, Isaac Hayes, Stevie Nicks, The Temptations and Whitney Houston.

There were 366 home sales in Studio City in 2008, with a median sales price of $719,000.
