Capital management couple buys in Upper East Side

Evan and Wesley LePatner bought a co-op at 1090 Third Ave. on the Upper East Side from Nellie J. Hixson for $1.395 million on July 10.

Unit #19B is part of a 31-story building that was constructed in 1968.

Mr. LePatner has been an associate at KPS Capital Partners LP in New York. He joined the company in 2007.

He also worked as an associate at private equity firm Kohlberg & Company LLC and as an analyst at Citigroup Global Markets Inc. in the company's global industrial group.

He received a B.A. in political science from Yale University.

Mrs. LePatner has been a real estate investment analyst for investment giant Goldman Sachs. She graduated from Yale.

Sales in the Upper East Side increased four percent from 2007-2006, from 219 to 210. The median sales price remained at $1.7 million.
