Finance specialist sells for $850K in Delray Beach

George P. Scanlon and his wife, Dianne sold a four-bedroom, 4.5 bath at 2742 Hampton Circle South in Delray Beach for $850,000 to Philip J. Carcara on June 30.

National Residential Nominee Services Inc. facilitated the sale. The Scanlons paid $690,000 for the home in June 2001. The 3,327 square foot house was built in 1998.

Scanlon is the CFO at Fidelity National Info Services, Inc., a Jacksonville-based provider of core processing for financial institutions. He was appointed to the position on July 2.

Scanlon joined Fidelity National Info Services as CFO from DataCore Software, a company in Fort Lauderdale that provides storage virtualization and networking software. He's also worked for Seisint, Ryder System and Price Waterhouse.

He earned his M.B.A. in finance from the University of Miami and a bachelor's in accounting from the University of Notre Dame.

Home sales in Delray Beach have dropped 27.5 percent thus far in 2008. The median sale price has also dropped $45,000, from $250,000 in 2007 to $205,000 so far this year.
