Monsanto veteran buys Chesterfield 4BD

Myron Dmytryszyn and Marietta K. Abele bought a four-bedroom, 4.5 bath at 597 Upper Conway Circle in Chesterfield for $777,120 from Hayden Homes Inc. on April 21.

The 4,229 square foot home was built in 2002.

Mr. Dmytryszyn has served as an affiliate professor in the Department of Engineering and Policy at Washington University in St. Louis. He is also a retired 40-year veteran of the Monsanto Company, rising to the role of general manager of the Technology Division for the Monsanto Chemical Intermediate Company before his retirement in 1987.

He earned his doctorate, master's and bachelor's degrees all in chemical engineering from Washington University.

Dmytryszyn and Abele also sold their four-bedroom home at 12905 Timmor Ct. in Town & Country for $495,000 on April 16.

Home sales in Chesterfield have increased 37 percent in 2008. The median sale price, however, has dropped $5,000, from $330,000 in 2007 to $325,000 in 2008.
