Andrew "Flip" Filipkowski, the founder of divine interventures, inc., lived in this house in the 1990s and sold it in 2000, according to the Nov. 5, 2000 Chicago Tribune.
The eventual downfall of divine led to a billion-dollar bankruptcy when the tech bubble burst in the early 2000s. But Filipkowski persevered and since 2003 has led SilkRoad Equity, a holding company based in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Filipkowski first found success with PLATINUM technology, inc., a software company that he sold in 1999 to Computer Associates. He earned $300 million from that sale, the Tribune reported. At least five of the 11 homes in the Sherwood Estates neighborhood were owned at one time by people tied to PLATINUM, the Tribune said.
