Pulitzer Prize judge and critic lived in this building

Author and critic, Elizabeth Janeway, lived in this building in 1967. Her first novel, "The Wash Girls," was a bestseller in 1943. Janeway was president of the Authors Guild from 1965 to 1969. She was also a judge for the National Book Awards and the Pulitzer Prize. Janeway was celebrated for her book reviews in the New York Times. She passed away in 2005.
