The Ray Brandes House
by BlockShopper Historian published Aug. 21, 2009
This Frank Lloyd Wright Usonian home was constructed in 1952. Ray Brandes, who was builder and contractor, built the Usonian Automatic Tracy House in Normandy Park himself. Wright's Usonian homes were built to be affordable for everyday Americans. They had no attics, no basements and little ornamentation.
