Karen K. Semone and Ethan B. Semone bought a three-bedroom, two-bath home at 4112 N. Campbell Ave. in North Center from Kristen and Lucas Krebs for $382,500 on Jan. 2.

The Krebs’ paid $276,000 for the property in 2002. The 840-square-foot, single-story house was built in 1914.

Ms. Semone is a web content writer, planner and organizer at Element Creative, a firm which offers creative consulting, web education and custom content management systems. She is also a lecturer at the University of Chicago Graham School.

She received her B.A. in English from Loyola University Chicago.

Mr. Semone is a professional guitarist, composer and a musical director at the Paul Green School of Rock Music. He was a founding member of the band Mojo Filter Kings and operated his own recording company, Hear Diagonally Records.

He began teaching guitar and bass lessons in 1993.

He received his bachelor’s in psychology and sociology from the University of Kentucky.

There were 217 home sales in North Center in 2008, with a median sales price of $497,500.
