Jean-Jacques de Jaegher and Elsa de Jaegher bought a four-bath home at 809 Lincoln Ave. in Winnetka from Lori and Bryon Brand for $1.4 million on Sept. 11.

The Brands bought the property for $1.59 million in Sept. 2003. The 4,225-square-foot house in the East Winnetka neighborhood was built in 1892.

Mr. de Jaegher has served as the vice president of management for Immucor Inc. He joined the company in 2007, bringing with him 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry with companies such as Abbott Laboratories and Applied NanoSystems.

He holds an engineering degree from the Nuclear Physics Institute in Belgium.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 144 home sales in Winnetka in 2008, with a median sales price of $892,500.
