Wangang Xie and Jian Meng bought a two-bath home at 284 South Hobble Bush Lane in Vernon Hills from Renee Boyke for $535,000 on Sep. 18.

The 3,060-square-foot house was built in 1989 at Stone Fence Farms in the neighborhood of Vernon Hills Central.

Xie, a 2009 graduate of the University of Connecticut, is a statistician at Abbott Laboratories, a healthcare company based in the Chicago area.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 248 home sales in Vernon Hills in 2008, with a median sales price of $294,226.
