Theodore T. Erski and Tracy M. Erski bought a one-bath home at 1522 Levi Baxter St. in Grayslake from Susie W. Rockway for $370,000 on Sept. 18.
Ms. Rockway paid $370,000 for the 2,034-square-foot house in Feb. 2003. It was built in 2000 in Prairie Crossing subdivision in the neighborhood of Grayslake South.
Theodore Erski is an instructor of geography and earth science at McHenry County College.
His current professional interests lie in globalization, development and the interplay among commodities, politics and the environment. He is the author of two novels, Salavandra: A Coffee Tale and A Coffee Crusade.
He holds a B.S. degree in geography from Drake University (1992) and an M.S. degree in geography from The University of Akron (1994).
There were 230 home sales in Grayslake in 2008, with a median sales price of $232,000.
