Mr. and Mrs. Addis paid $717,000 for the property in Aug. 2001. The 2,684-square-foot house in the South Central Wilmette neighborhood was built in 1989.

Mr. Addis is a member of the Addis Greenberg & Schultz LLC law firm. His practice primarily focuses on criminal law, municipal law, construction and surety law. He has been in practice for 30 years. Previously, he worked as a staff attorney at Colfax Corp., and its sister company, National Wrecking Co. and he served as an assistant state's attorney for Cook County.

He received his B.A. from Northern Illinois University in 1975 and his J.D. from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 1978.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 455 home sales in Wilmette in 2008, with a median sales price of $722,500.
