Civil rights lawyer, psychiatrist sell in Gold Coast

Medium e2d04d2379d6cd5da70d370dfa23cb5a Lonny Ogus and Dr. Linda Gruenberg sold a condo at 175 E. Delaware Place in Gold Coast to Shan Warnock-Smith for $377,500 on Sept. 16.

Ogus and Gruenberg paid $320,000 for the Unit #5214 in June 2002. The 3,638-square-foot is part of the John Hancock Residences.

Mr. Ogus is an attorney and a member of the board of visitors at the Northern Illinois University College of Law. His practice is focused on civil rights, wrongful terminations, false arrest and constitutional laws.

He earned his J.D. at the Northern Illinois University College of Law in 1978.

Dr. Gruenberg is a forensic psychiatrist at Rush University Medical Center. She has been affiliated with Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center and she was a treasurer with the Illinois Psychiatric Society.

She earned her D.O. at the Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency in psychiatry and her fellowship in forensic psychiatry at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 23 home sales in Gold Coast in 2008, with a median sales price of $400,000.
