Private equity firm exec, Metromix manager buy 6BD

Medium d293ab6822de7cfcb70590ccbab533f7 Daniel and Shilpa Hosler bought a six-bedroom, 5.5-bath home at 1639 N. Dayton St. in Lincoln Park from Relocation Advantage LLC for $1.53 million on Sept. 16.

The 4,640-square-foot house in the Ranch Triangle subdivision was built in 2005.

Mr. Hosler is a vice president at Sterling Partners, a private equity firm. Prior to Sterling Partners, he has served as vice president of product marketing at the Activ Group and he co-founded Microganics. He serves on the e-council of the National Federation of Teaching Entrepreneurship and is co-chair of the Kellogg Class Gift Committee.

He earned his M.B.A. from the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management and his B.S. in biochemistry from Rice University.

Ms. Hosler is a business development manager at Metromix LLC. She previously was a senior marketing manager at Restaurant.com, served as marketing intern at Kellogg's Cereal Company and worked for AOL Time Warner as an account manager and sales coordinator.

She attended the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management and Washington University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 840 home sales in Lincoln Park in 2008, with a median sales price of $425,000.
