Marketing professor gets Lincoln Park 2BD

Medium 4b0c4794e19493f789c865890227e032 Sema Barlas bought a two-bedroom, two-bath home at 2206 N. Burling St. in Lincoln Park from Andy and Karyn Nicoll for $485,000 on Sept. 8.

The Nicolls bought the property for $460,000 in Nov. 2005. The 1,560-square-foot Unit #K was built in 1977.

Barlas is an assistant professor of marketing at McGill University in Quebec. Prior to this, she served as research professor at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands and as a credit modeling and strategy manager at Sears.

She earned a Ph.D. in quantitative psychology from the University of Chicago.

According to Blockshopper.com there were 629 home sales in Lincoln Park in 2008, with a median price of $360,000.
