Gopal P. Mohanty and Smita Das sold a four-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 1063 Mt. Vernon Dr. in Grayslake to Jonathan M. Maher and Kazuyo Maher for $295,000 on Oct. 19.

Mohanty paid $319,000 for the property in May 2003. The 3,000-square-foot house was built in 1995 in the Grayslake Central neighborhood.

Mohanty is senior director of quality engineering for Boston Scientific, a manufacturer of medical devices.

He previously worked as director of corporate quality at Baxter Healthcare and was manager at Ford Motor Co.

He received his Ph.D. in manufacturing and industrial engineering in 2001, his M.S. in manufacturing engineering in 1992 at Wayne State University, and his B.S. in mechanical engineering at the National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra in 1987. He also completed executive education from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management and The University of Chicago - Booth School of Business.
