Law firm COO sells 4BD in Wheaton

Medium 6984efc388e9814daaaf5b567da6ccd8 Craig and Janet Courter sold a four-bedroom, three-bath home at 1724 Stoddard Ave. in Unincorporated Wheaton to Jay G. Fairbanks and Dawna L. Perconti for $725,000 on Oct. 2.

The Courters paid $460,000 for the property in Sept. 2000. The 3,387-square-foot house in the Wheaton Northeast neighborhood was built in 1995.

Mr. Courter is the chief operating officer at Perkins Coie LLP, a law firm based in Seattle. Previously, he served as president and chief operating officer at Baker & McKenzie, he was a partner and associate at Seltzer Caplan McMahon Vitek and an adjunct professor at the University of San Diego School of Law.

He received his B.A. in mathematics from Eastern Illinois University and he earned his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 427 sales in Unincorporated Wheaton during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $288,000.
