Jay and Kathryn Crookston bought a three-bedroom, four-bath condo at 2248 N. Racine Ave. in Lincoln Park from Bradford and Robyn Cornell for $790,000 on Oct. 21.

The 2,974-square-foot Unit #1 is one of three condos in the development at 2248 N. Racine Ave., which was built in 2007 in the Sheffield Neighbors subdivision.

Mr. Crookston serves as the vice president of sales at EnergyConnect Inc. He worked in sales and marketing at H20pod Inc., was the chief marketing and strategy officer at VoEx Inc., a vice president of sales at PlaceWare and at MCU Telecommunications.

He received his B.S. degree in general management from Purdue University. He earned an M.B.A. in business from the Northwestern University J.L. Kellogg School of Management.

Mr. Cornell serves as a vice president at Lake Capital. His responsibilities include evaluating potential investments, structuring transactions, leading due diligence, negotiating transaction and financing agreements and managing portfolio company investments. He also served as an investment banking analyst of the business services group at William Blair & Co.

He received his B.B.A. in finance from James Madison University and his M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 636 sales in Lincoln Park during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $359,000.
