Electrical engineer buys from businessman in Long Grove

Medium 367fb10f0d1c1567d6ec160c81f11605 Dimitry Marchenko and Nataliya Yurdina bought a one-bath, 4,212-square-foot home at 3432 Monitor Lane in Long Grove from Talat M. Othman for $650,000 on Sept. 9.

The home was built in 1977 in the De Palma subdivision.

Marchenko is an electrical engineer at Ingenium Aerospace, a Roscoe-based motion control business. He is also a coordinator at the Chicago branch of Conkurent LLC, a provider of technology solutions and professional software.

He most recently served as a senior project engineer at Woodward MPC, a designer and manufacturer of electromechanical motion control components and systems. He also worked as a quartz crystal engineer at Connor Winfield.

He attended Northern Illinois University.

Othman is a businessman, investor and Republican fundraiser who is founder, chairman and CEO of Grove Financial Inc. of Chicago.

He is a member of the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations Independent Task Force and a board member of the Middle East Policy Council. He is also secretary and treasurer of the American Task Force on Palestine.

He formerly served on the board of the Illinois Finance Authority.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 57 home sales in Long Grove in 2008, with median sales price of $685,000.
