Steve Ebeling and Filipinas Aquino bought a four-bedroom, 2.1 bath at 1340 W. Fletcher for $869,000 from Brett and Amy Detterbeck on Aug. 9.

The Fletchers paid $615,000 for the property in May 2002. The sale was listed at $895,000 and sold after 160 days on the market. The building is used for rental units. It was built in 1891.

Mr. Ebeling, 34, is a contract recruiter for LaSalle Bank. He's held positions as a contract recruiter at tax firm KPMG International, staffing manager at Accounting Principals and recruiter at at AccountPro.

Ebeling has a bachelor's degree from the University of Indiana-Bloomington.

Mr. Detterbeck, a 35-year-old CFA and CFP, is co-founder and head portfolio manager at Detterbeck Wealth Management, Inc. in Palatine.
