Associate lawyers buy on Ashland

Lawyers Charles and Clara Duffield bought a $622,500 three-bedroom, two bath at 4336 N. Ashland through Prudential Relocation on Aug. 17.

Prudential bought the property from Raymond McKenzie and Kathy McCoy, who paid $549,000 for it in July 2004. The sale was listed at $662,000 and spent 115 days on the market.

Mr. Duffield, 36, is an associate in the Chicago office of Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal, where he works in the litigation and business regulation practice department. The University of Illinois B.A. and J.D. previously worked for now-defunct law firm Altheimer & Gray and was a associate national bank examiner with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency for the US Department of The Treasury.

Mrs. Duffield is a associate with Baker & McKenzie, where she practices in real estate and environment law.

Mr. McKenzie, 50, is director at FX Products, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange's electronic foreign exchange department. He's held various positions with the CME since 2001. The New York University graduate formerly worked at Morgan Stanley.

McCoy, 51, also works for the CME, as an executive vice president of marketing and multimedia. She joined the exchange in 1993.
