Sidley & Austin partner John Box bought a four-bedroom, 3.1 bath Lake View home at 1445 W. Fletcher for $1.55 million on Sept. 5 from 3FJ Construction.

3FJ, a Chicago-based builder, paid $600,000 for the property in Feb. 2005. The home was on the market for 205 days with an original list price of $1.565.

Box, 50, joined Chicago-based Sidley in 1981. He's worked in the firm's Tokyo and London offices.

The CPA earned a law degree from the University of California-Berkeley (1981) and his B.A. from the University of Illinois (1978).
