Tax lawyer, Kent College professor spends $1.22M

Jeffrey B. Frishman and his wife, Leigh, sold their four-bedroom, 3.1 bath at 1232 W. Henderson in Lake View for $1.22 million to Stephen Healy on July 8.

The Frishmans paid $840,000 for Sept. 2006.

Mr. Frishman is an adjunct professor at the Kent College of Law in Chicago. He is also a principal in the Chicago office and the national partner in charge of tax quality assurance for national tax firm Grant Thornton LLP.

Prior to joining Grant Thornton, he was a partner with national law firm Winston & Strawn, specializing in federal, state and local tax controversy matters.

He earned his J.D. from Kent (1990) and his LL.M. in taxation from the University of Denver College of Law ('91). He earned his bachelor's from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign ('87).

The couple has also owned property at 1236 W. Cornelia.
