Prior to joining Ulta, Rubin was president of the North American retail division of Office Depot Inc. and a partner at Accenture Consulting. Earlier in his career, he worked in the sporting goods specialty retail business and with Federated Department Stores.
He graduated from Brandeis University with a bachelor's degree.
