Rubber manufacturing co. exec. buys in Elmhurst

Medium 69c795dd9987e48f99a6cb4bd5a58467 Jay Spaanem and Lou Spaanem bought a two-bedroom, two-bath condo at 111 N. Larch Ave. in Elmhurst from Robt and Rosemarie Petersen for $269,000 on Oct. 20.

The Petersens paid $312,000 for the property in May 2002.

The 1,341-square-foot Unit #203 is part of the Park Elm condo development.

Mr. Spaanem has served as CFO at Lion Copolymer LLC, a manufacturer of synthetic rubber based in Baton Rouge, La.

Prior to his career at Lion Copolymer, he served in a variety of roles at Parts Now! LLC, including CFO, president and CEO.

He attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

According to BlockShopper.com,, there have been 30 condo sales in Elmhurst during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $250,500.
