Medical executive pockets $1.1M in Flatbush

Medium 5d1c63f8d62c0146ca719c23651a3510 Samuel Kopel sold a home at 160 Marlborough Road in Flatbush to Mark C. Donovan and Robert G. Donovan for $1.1 million in July 26.

The 4,314-square-foot house was built in 1910 in Prospect Park South Historic District.

Dr. Kopel is a medical director of Maimonides Medical Center since 1995. His academic activities primarily focused on research in the treatment of hematologic cancers, such as leukemia and lymphoma, as well as cancers affecting the head and neck, lung and breast.

He previously was a principal investigator of research on acute leukemia at Maimonides and the State University of New York.

He received his medical degree from Universita Di Bologna and his residency at Brooklyn Jewish Hospital.
