Seminary major gifts exec buys Park Slope home for $1.21M

Medium c0cbdf18795229f2ea573c1275196ca4 Maggie M. Richter and David H. Kalfus bought a 1,440-square-foot home at 376 6th St. in Park Slope from Herbert and Barbara Graetz for $1.21 million on Oct. 26.

The home was built in 1899.

Richter is the director of major gifts and foundation relations at the Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York.

She previously was a development consultant at Cordoba Initiative, the American Society for Muslim Advancement and Union Theological Seminary. She also was director of development at Storahtelling and director of the annual fund at Union Theological Seminary.

She received her B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College and her M.Div. degree from Union Theological Seminary.

Kalfus works in software development at DDS.

He joined DDS as a managing director at Bear Stearns. Prior to that, he was a consultant at Goldman Sachs. Earlier, he owned the software consulting firm Alliance Computer Services Inc.

He received B.A. in physics and Chinese from New York University and an M.A. in East Asian Studies from Yale University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 199 home sales in Park Slope during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $649,500.
