Research staff scientist trades 4BD in Hunters Creek

Craig J. Pollock and Nancy Ellsworth Pollock sold a four-bedroom, three-bath home at 3402 Hunters Circle in Hunters Creek to Rachel Pierce and Carlos G. Sanchez on Nov. 4.

The Pollocks acquired the property in June 2000. The 2,701-square-foot house was built in 1970 in Hunters Creek and is valued at $279,700.

Mr. Pollock currently serves as staff scientist in the Space Science and Engineering division of Southwest Research Institute (SwRI), an applied engineering and physical sciences research and development organization. He formerly was the principal scientist in the Instrumentation and Space Research division, as well as the lead investigator for the MENA imager at SwRI.

In addition, he also serves as discipline scientist for Magnetospheric Physics, within the Heliophysics Division at NASA Headquarters in Washington D.C. Previously, he was an NRC research associate and a member of the NASA/MSFC Space Plasma Physics Branch.

He obtained his Ph.D. in physics from the University of New Hampshire (1987) and received his B.A. in physics from Siena College (1980) and his A.A. in liberal arts from Hudson Valley Community College (1977).
