Artist, bookbinder selling for $1.15M in Center City West

Medium 4d4d14669420d71f1c7f118e449bb2c3 Mark and Bridget Bullen have listed for sale a six-bedroom, 3.5-bath townhome at 1523 Pine St. in Center City West for $1.15 million.

Michael McCann of Prudential Fox & Roach Realtors is the listing agent. The Bullens bought the property for $170,000 in October 2000. The 4,800-square-foot house was built in 1850 in the Rittenhouse-Fitler Historic District.

Mr. Bullen is a Philadelphia-based artist and a member of the Rittenhouse Drawing Group.

His works have been exhibited in several museums and galleries in Philadelphia, California, Delaware and New York.

He graduated from the University of Delaware in 1979 and attended the Frudakis Sculpture Academy in Philadelphia from 1980 to 1982. He also studied at Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and graduated in 1983.

Ms. Bullen runs a book binding and restoration studio in Philadelphia.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 348 home sales in Center City West in 2008, with a median sales price of $380,000.
