Temple professor buys 2BD condo in Pennsport

Medium 6a06bea97e1519a0471bcc0b046842fa Douglas Greenfield and Felicia Barnack bought a two-bedroom, one-bath condo at 765 S. Second St. in Pennsport from Deborah Kahn for $368,000 on Sept. 4.

Ms. Kahn bought the 1,100-square-foot Unit D for $301,000 on July 2003.

Greenfield is an assistant professor at Temple University, where he teaches on intellectual heritage.

He has taught various courses in literature and culture at Bucknell University in Lewsiburg, Pa., Barnard College in New York City, New York University, Columbia, and Montclair State University in New Jersey.

He received a B.A. in history and international relations from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Ph.D. in Russian literature from Columbia.

Barnack is associate director for operations at the PENN Memory Center at the University of Pennsylvania.

She holds a master's degree in social work from the University of Pennsylvania.

Barnack and Greenfield are set to wed in Jan. 2010.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been seven condo sales in Pennsport during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $264,000.
