Health service manager, former recycling co. exec buy 3BD

Shana Etish and Avi Golen bought a three-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 1916 Brandywine St. in Fairmount from Ronald L. Morrill for $550,000 on Sept. 11.

Morrill paid $440,000 for the property in July 2002. The 2,240-square-foot house was built in 1920.

Etish is a manager of portfolio management and reporting at CIGNA Corporation, a health service company where she previously was a senior financial analyst.

Prior to joining CIGNA, she was a junior associate at Inductis, a professional services firm.

She attended the University of Pennsylvania and graduated from The William Penn Charter School.

Golen has been president and partner of Construction Waste Management, a recycling company focused on the building industry in Philadelphia.

According to, there have been 925 home sales in Fairmount during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $313,000.
