Automobile co. manager, project manager sell in Fairmount

Medium 5283b29f1b4b4593624df83d81a1a1d4 Alfredo Mavila and Vivian Figueredo sold a three-bedroom, one-bath home at 757 Judson St. in Fairmount to Perry Katz and Laurel De Bruij N. Katz for $350,000 on Oct. 20.

Mavila and Figueredo acquired the property in Aug. 2002 for $185,000. The 840-square-foot home was built in 1920.

Mavila is an export parts and accessories sales manager at Subaru of America Inc., a Philadelphia-headquartered automobile manufacturer.

He most recently was an international sales and marketing manager at Fuji Heavy Industries USA Inc. He also worked as a regional sales and marketing manager for the motorcycles division of Honda.

He attended Loyola University in New Orleans, La.

Figueredo is a project manager at the OMG Center for Collaborative Learning, a non-profit research and consulting organization based in Philadelphia.

Prior to joining OMG in 2005, she was a program manager with St. Joseph's Carpenter Society in Camden, N.J. Earlier in her career, she worked at Critas del Per, a Peruvian non-profit organization.

Figueredo received a B.A. in history and a master's degree in public affairs from Tulane University and from Princeton University, respectively.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 298 home sales in Fairmount during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $314,000.
