University professor deals Center City East condo

Paul Wolpe, Elaine Wolpe and Stephen Wolpe sold a condo at 233 S. 06th St. in Center City East to Steven E. Greenberg and Ruth L. Greenberg for $770,000 on Nov. 8.

The 2,045-square-foot condo, Unit #2002L, is part of the 227 units in the Two Independence Place condo development, which was built in 1985. It is located in the Society Hill Historic District.

Paul Wolpe is an Asa Griggs Candler professor of bioethics and the director of the Center for Ethics at Emory University. Previously, he was the president of The American Society for Bioethics and Humanities. He also served as a professor at the University of Pennsylvania and at Jefferson Medical College.

He received his B.A. in sociology and religion from the University of Pennsylvania (1979).

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 17,235 home sales in Center City East during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $96,000.
