Donald Macbean and Kristie Macbean bought a 1,248-square-foot home at 19-11 23rd Road in Queens from the estate of Carmen Barbadillo for $612,000 on Sept. 29.

The home was built in 1920 in the Steinway neighborhood.

Mr. Macbean is an associate in the capital markets practice at the New York office of the law firm Linklaters. He joined the firm in 2006.

He has a B.A. from Brigham Young University and a J.D. from the Duke University School of Law.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 7,544 sales in Queens during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $430,000.
