She attended North Garland High School.

Wilburn is an attorney and counselor in Carrollton. He concentrates her practice on probate, guardianship and estate planning matters. He most recently was an associate attorney at Kenneth D. Martin & Associates, P.C. in Dallas.

Prior to that, he worked as a contracts administrator at Bombardier Aerospace in Richardson. Earlier on, he served as a research assistant at University of Houston Law Center and as an investigator at Sommerman, Moore & Mitchell, L.L.P.

He holds a bachelor of music education from McMurry University in Abilene and a J.D. from University of Houston Law Center.
