Former Olympic swimmer unloads Brecksville

Medium 515a31e6c3512e7a628a6a20e69fe735 John S. Collis, Ph.D. and Kathryn E. Collis sold a three-bedroom, two-bath home at 8035 Long Forest Dr. in Brecksville to Cynthia D. Stetler for $310,000 on Sept. 30.

Mr. and Ms. Collis paid $355,000 for the property in Dec. 2006. The 2,497-square-foot house was built in 2001 in the Brecksville West neighborhood.

Mr. Collis, a former All-American swimmer, is a U.S. Olympic Trials qualifier and member of the 1984 Greek Olympic Swimming Team, has been the executive director and owner of Peak Performance Center.

He previously worked as a U.S.A. and high school swim coach. He also coached several groups including NCAA National Champions.

He graduated from the Hawken School and Mercersburg Academy.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 155 home sales in Brecksville in 2008, with a median sales price of $225,000.
