Janik is senior vice president for real estate and business development at the Greater Cleveland Partnership.

Before she joined the Greater Cleveland Partnership in 2005, she worked for the Cleveland Cuyahoga County Port Authority as vice president of regional development. She also was chief of staff and chief development officer for former Cleveland Mayor Jane L. Campbell.

She received a B.B.A. in finance from Kent State University in 1987.
