Hospital exec lands 4BD in Scottsdale

Medium d13d21d287f07d444ccf62e1445eec72 Dr. Vinay U. Vaidya and Maria Vaidya bought a four-bedroom, five-bath home at 13225 N. 83rd Place in Scottsdale from Ronald and Nancy Mapp for $648,000 on Aug. 24.

The 4,177-square-foot house in the North Scottsdale neighborhood was built in 1982.

Dr. Vaidya is the chief medical information officer at Phoenix Children's Hospital. He has been an assistant professor of pediatric critical care and the director of the critical care fellowship program at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.

He received his medical degree at Seth GS Medical College in India and completed his pediatric residency at KEM Hospital. He received further training at the University of Arizona School of Medicine and at the Children's National Medical Center at George Washington University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 3,592 home sales in Scottsdale during the past 12 months in 2008, with a median sales price of $320,000.
