Kathryn and Rodney Tolman bought a five-bedroom, four-bath home at 4039 E. Fairfield St. in Mesa from Geraldine and Donald Peterson for $490,000 on Oct. 30.

The 3,740-square-foot house was built in 1998 in the Mahogany subdivision.

Ms. Tolman has served as the general director at Legacy Schools in Mesa since 2000. She has held leadership positions in the public and private sectors for more than 20 years. Previously, she was the chief of staff for the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors and a business development manager for Maricopa Integrated Health System.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 6,021 home sales in Mesa during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $230,000.
