Shanta Ramchandani and Chad Braun bought a five-bedroom, six-bath home at 6785 W. Roberta Lane in Peoria from Camelot Homes Inc. for $545,000 on Oct. 27.

The 4,803-square-foot house was built in 2007 in the Peoria North neighborhood.

Ramchandani has been a principal engineer at Performance Software. Prior to Performance Software, she was a QA engineer, software engineer and embedded software engineer at Creo/Kodak. She also worked with Electronic Arts as QA team lead for online gaming and with Nortel as a software developer and ASIC engineer.

She attended the University of Ottawa.

Braun has also been a principle engineer at Performance Software.

He holds a degree in computer science from Arizona State University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 3,161 home sales in Peoria during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $160,000.
