Arizona State professor, scientist buys 4BD in Gilbert

Latha Kannan and Arunachala Mada-Kannan bought a four-bedroom, 3.5-bath home at 2917 E. Latham Way in Gilbert from Andrawas Aodisho and Khlood Aodisho for $510,000 on Nov. 5.

Andrawas Aodisho bought the home for $850,000 in Feb. 2008. The 3,596-square-foot house was built in 2007 in South Gilbert. It is located in Weston Ranch subdivision.

Ms. Kannan serves as assistant research scientist in The Biodesign Institute, Infectious Diseases and Vaccinology of Arizona State University.

Mr. Kannan is an associate professor in the department of engineering technology, College of Technology and Innovation at teh Arizona State University. Previously, he worked as technical adviser and chief scientist at Hoku Scientific Inc. in Honolulu, Hawaii.

He obtained his B.S. and M.S. degrees in chemistry from Madurai Kamaraj University in India, M.B.A. in statistical process control at Madras University and Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Science in India.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 2,560 home sales in Gilbert during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $184,000.
