Author, political activist buys 4BD in North Scottsdale

Medium 788744c86120998f80616d7950d9a9b6 Alan M. Gottlieb and Julianne Versnel bought a four-bedroom, 3.5-bath home at 6502 E. Gary Road in Scottsdale from Shurts Properties LLC for $715,000 on Dec. 21.

The 3,834-square-foot house was built in 1968 in North Scottsdale. It is part of the Casa Del Oeste II subdivision.

Gottlieb is an author, conservative political activist, and businessman. He is the owner of Merril Press, an independent publisher of unusual nonfiction books. He also owns Merril Mail Marketing, Inc., a for-profit corporation and controls The Service Bureau, Inc, a non-profit cooperative corporation. He also serves as the president of four radio stations, including KITZ in Port Orchard, Washington, KGTK in Olympia, Washington, KBNP in Portland, Oregon, and KSBN in Spokane, Washington

He graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in nuclear engineering. He also attended the Institute on Comparative Political & Economic Systems at Georgetown University.
