Attorney spends $1.1M for Upper East Side co-op

Megan R. Genet and Samuel J. Lieberman bought Unit #4C at 235 E. 87th St. on the Upper East Side for $1.1 million from Beth Ann Ferraro-Malloy and her husband, Craig James Malloy, on June 1, 2007.

The cooperative apartment is a mid-rise building built in 1963. It has 12 floors and 138 apartments.
Genet is an attorney. She has worked as a litigation associate with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in New York.

She earned a bachelor's degree from New York University and her J.D. from Columbia University.

Ms. Ferraro-Malloy has served as vice president and portfolio manager for Amalgamated Bank in New York.

Previously, she worked as a global fixed-income analyst for Fiduciary Trust Co. International.

She graduated with a master's in business administration from New York University. She earned her bachelor's degree in business management and economics from Clark University in Worcester, Mass. While there, she was the captain of the diving team and made four consecutive appearances at the NCAA Division III Diving Championships.

Mr. Malloy has served as a field service specialist for Clean Harbors Environmental Services, a N.J. waste disposal company.

He is a graduate of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy.

Condo sales in Upper East Side/Carnegie Hill are up four percent in 2007 versus sales in 2006. The median sales price remained the same at $1.7 million so far this year.
