Brazilian banker acquires Museum Tower 3BD condo for $$4.7M

Medium 0256c9e46253180264a921b6664a3ce3 Alfredo Egydio Setubal and Rosemarie Teresa Nugent Setubal bought a three-bedroom, 4.5-bath condo at 15 W. 53rd St. in Midtown from Priscilla T. Pochna for $4.7 million on Sept. 29.

Unit #46B/C is in the 52-story Museum Tower condominiums, which houses 248 units and was built in 1982.

Mr. Setubal is the executive vice president of Itau Unibanco, a publicly quoted bank based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He's also served as the finance director of the Museum of Modern Art of Sao Paulo.

He earned a B.S. and post-graduate degree in business management from Fundacao Getulio Vargas in Rio de Janeiro.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 35 condo sales in Midtown during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $1,298,500.
