Former Tribune reporter buys East Village 2BD condo

Medium 448aa8ddc5c8d537a2110100846a7c2f Joshua Howes, Davinia Troughton, David Howes and Ruth Rosenthal bought a two-bedroom, two-bath condo at 407 E. 12th St. in East Village from Linda Russell for $900,000 on Oct. 29.

The 943-square-foot condo Unit #2FW is part of Village Mews condo development, which was built in 1900.

Joshua Howes has been the president at JPREP, as well as a writer, screenwriter and journalist.

He formerly was a producer, writer and director at Slant Rhyme Productions/Stanford Film Society and was a staff reporter at Chicago Tribune.

He attended Stanford University and Columbia University in New York.

Troughton is a board member at Students Active for Ending Rape (SAFER) and works on the initiatives for women and girls at theNoVo Foundation, where she previously was manager of research and grants.

Prior to joining the foundation, she worked at the Rudolf Steiner Foundation's east coast office in Manhattan. She also is a rape crisis counselor in the St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital System.

She received a degree in international trade and finance from Louisiana State University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 90 condo sales in East Village during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $704,313.
